Sandra MordockSandra L. Modock (nee Dumsky) 70 years old of Elyria, Ohio died on Thursday, September 18, 2008 at EMH Regional Medical Center following a short illness.

Mrs. Modock was born in Elyria on October 29, 1937 and made her home here all of her life.  She was a graduate of Elyria Catholic High School with the class of 1955. She was a 28 year maintenance employee of NASA in Cleveland.  Mrs. Modock was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church and a life member of the United Polish Club Ladies Auxiliary where she was selected to be "Mother of the Year" in 2008. She loved her grandchildren and enjoyed taking care of them.
Mrs. Modock is survived by her  husband of 43 years, Basil E.; two sons, David (Michelle) and Michael Modock, both of Elyria; two daughters, Ann (Joe) Bronder of Charlotte, North Carolina and Becky (Tim) Ryan of Elyria; and five grandchildren, Aleigha and Kelsey Ryan, Joey Bronder and Morgan and Brooklyn Modock.
She is also survived by two sisters, Patricia Shwets of Ashtabula, and Marion Brewer of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania.
She was preceded in death by an infant sister, Lois Ann Dumsky and her parents, Max and Iva (nee Eddington) Dumsky.

Friends will be received at the Reichlin Roberts Funeral Home, 327 Cleveland Street, Elyria, Ohio 44035 on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M.  Closing prayers will be in the funeral home on Monday at 9:30 A.M. followed by a mass at 10:00 A.M. at St. Jude Catholic Church, 590 Poplar Street, Elyria, Ohio 44035.  The Reverend Father Frank P. Kosem, Pastor, will officiate.  Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain, Ohio.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Catholic Church Building Fund.

I am so sorry to hear of your Mothers passing, I am sorry I wasnt able to come to the funeral home to tell you in person.

Sandra was a great friend and co-worker. She will be dearly missed. My condolences go out to your family. Sandy will forever be in our prayers.
