Robert E. O’Connor, Jr. 53 years old of Elyria, Ohio passed away unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, November 13, 2016.
Mr. O’Connor was born in Charleston, South Carolina on July 10, 1963 and made his home here for the past 35 years. He was a technician for Edwards Vacuum and was veteran of the United States Army, where he proudly served for 8 years and was a member of the AmVets Post #32 He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, fishing, gardening, cooking, parties, attending the fair and especially spending time with his family and friends. He was an avid fan of Cleveland sports teams.
He is survived by his wife, Lisa M. (nee Allen), his sons, Robert E. O’Connor III (Kimberely) and Ryan E. O’Connor both of Elyria; one grandson, Ryan A. O’Connor ; one sister, Ann Ferraro (Frank) of Massillon; and one brother, Wesley O’Connor of Japan.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Phillip O’Connor.
Friends will be received at the Reichlin Roberts Funeral Home on Thursday, November 17, 2016 from 6PM until 9PM. Funeral services will be in the funeral home on Friday, November18, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. with Reverend Chuck Behrens officiating. Military honors will be provided by the VFW, Post 1079.
