We were so sorry we were unable to attend the memorial service for Ruth. John and Ruth were winding down their illustrious political and civic career just as Ellen and I were beginning ours. They were both very gracious, offering help and advise whenever asked. Our heartfelt sympathies to the entire Bara clan.
