Florence M. Rigo Print E-mail

Florence M. Rigo (nee Kragey) 91 years old, formerly of Lorain and Elyria passed away on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at NHC Nursing Facility in Bluffton, South Carolina.

Mrs. Rigo was born on June 12, 1926 in Lorain, Ohio and lived in Lorain and Elyria for most of her life, before moving to Bluffton, South Carolina to be near her daughter.

She was a graduate of Lorain High School, a member of St. Jude Catholic Church, and a homemaker.

She is survived by her daughter, Donna Soper of Bluffton, SC.; a son, Russell Rigo of West Dundee, Illinois; and two grandchildren, Alexandra Rigo Secretov and Meredith Rigo.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John L. Rigo in 2004; a sister, Elizabeth Zalar; and her parents, Max and Rose (nee Vidrick) Kragely.

Friends will be received in the gathering area of St. Jude Catholic Church, 590 Poplar Street, Elyria, Ohio on Saturday, July 15, 2017 for 9:00 to 11:00 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM with Reverend Father Richard Gonser officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Lorain, Ohio.

Reichlin Roberts Funeral Home, 327 Cleveland Street, Elyria, Ohio is handling the arrangements.

I am sorry to read of your Mother's passing Donna. Hope you remember me. My parents have been gone for a long time now. I am living in Tennessee. Again, sorry for your loss.

WE ARE VERY SORRY FOR YOUR FAMILY LOSS.FLORENCE & JOHN WERE VERY CLOSE FRIENDS OF OURS.I WORKED A LOT OFYEARS WITH JOHN @ LEAR.I REMEMBER WE WENT TO BOWLNG EVENT IN MICH.& I HAD TO DRIVE JOHNS CAR HOME IN A BLIZZARD IT WAS PRETTY SCAREY. WE CAME HOME TO NC THE DAY YOUR MOM PASSED WE WERE O IN OHIO VISITING OUR FAMILY.BUY THE WAY MY YOUNGER BROTHER MIKE LIVES IN BLUFFTON.
