Evelyn BrattoliEvelyn E. Brattoli (nee Fisher), 92 years old of Elyria, Ohio passed away at Cleveland Clinic Avon on May 3, 2018 following a long illness.

Evelyn was born on September 4, 1925 in North Ridgeville, Ohio and made her home in the area all of her life. She was a homemaker and in her earlier years she was a payroll clerk at Bendix. She was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church and the Church’s Altar and Rosary Society. She attended North Ridgeville High School for two years before transferring to Elyria High School, graduating in 1943. She also attended Elyria Business College for two years. She was a writer, specializing in poems and short stories. One of her poems about the seasons was published in the National Library of Poetry Anthology and a short Christmas story was published in “Our Sunday Visitor.” She was a loving and caring mother and wife.

Surviving her are her husband of 69 years, John of Avon; four daughters, Rita (Sonny) Dukeman of Grafton, Karen (David) Brintnall of Medina, Mary (Michael) Karleskint of LaGrange, Bonnie (Michael) Hakes of Rocky River; daughter in law, Sharon Brattoli of Elyria; Two sons, Mark (Lorraine) of Ft. Wayne, Indiana and James (Kelly) of Wadsworth. Also surviving are grandchildren, David, Michelle, Laura, Jeffry, Timothy, Keith, Daniel, Adam, Brent, Susan, Crystal; and great grandchildren, Emmy Lou, Conway, Raylan, Nolan, Kacey, Charolete, Elizabeth, and Owen.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Jude and John; a sister, Geraldine Steele; and her parents Aloysius J. and Della Anna (nee Bislich) Fisher.

Friends will be received at the Reichlin Roberts Funeral Home, 327 Cleveland Street, Elyria, Ohio on Monday, May 7, 2018 from 5- 8 PM. Closing prayers will be in the funeral home on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at 9:00 A.M. followed by a mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 A.M. at St. Jude Church, 590 Poplar Street, Elyria, Ohio with the Reverend Father Frank P. Kosem, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Elyria, Ohio.
