Elizabeth L. "Betty" Taylor Print E-mail

Betty TaylorElizabeth L. "Betty" Taylor, (nee Clymn) 90 years old of Elyria, Ohio passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at the Cleveland Clinic in Avon.

Betty was born in Detroit on July 14, 1927 and made her home here for most of her life. She was a graduate of John Hay High School in Cleveland, was a member of St. Jude Church, and was employed for 20 plus years at Ridge Tool Company. She was also a member of the Elyria Senior Fellowship, the Ostomy Support Group, St. John Lutheran Exercise Group and the Elyria Catholic Dad's Booster Club. She enjoyed working with the Bereavement Group at St. Jude Church and especially loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Surviving her are three children, Sue Mabry of Avon Lake, James (Jill) Taylor and Thomas (Tracy) Taylor both of Elyria; eight grandchildren, Morgan (Eric), Taylor, Jake, Jock (Jackie), Jaynie, Corey (Mimi), Ryan, and Emily; and three great grandchildren, Peyton, Ella, and Emory.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elgie N. Taylor in 1993; one brother Anthony Clymn; and her parents, Howard and Mary Thornton.

Friends will be received at the Reichlin Roberts Funeral Home, 327 Cleveland Street, Elyria, Ohio on Thursday. July 12, 2018 from 4-7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held áFriday, July 13, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Mary Church, 320 Middle Avenue, Elyria, Ohio (Please Meet at Church). The Reverend Father Charles Diedrick, Pastor, and the Reverend Mr. Patrick Humphrey will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Elyria, Ohio.

Memorial contribution in Betty's honor are requested to St. Jude Church, 590 Poplar Street, Elyria, Ohio or to Elyria Catholic High School Endowment Fund, 712 Gulf Road, Elyria, Ohio.

I so wish I could be there with the 3 of you and your families. (surgery in a few days) . You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Betty, Elgie and each of you are so much a part of our family, and that is what we are family. My heart is heavy but comforted by this quote, "Death leaves a Heartache no one can heal, Love leaves a Memory no one can steal."

Sue, tom, and jimmy. So sorry for your loss. I was coming up to Elyria for EC 50th class reunion in Aug, I always stop and see your mom when I am in town and enjoyed our visits talking about the "old neighborhood ". Please accept our condolences. OŘ for your family!
