James Wilson, 79 years old of Elyria, Ohio passed away on Thursday, July 19, 2018 at Mercy New Life Hospice Residential Center in Lorain, Ohio.

Jim was born on September 29, 1938 in Amherst, Ohio and made his home in Elyria for most of his life. He was a truck driver with Gregory and Nelson Trucking. He was known as "Mr. Fix It" and he often said "If it's not broke, fix it until it is".

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Patricia (nee Rosenthal); two step daughters, Tammy (Jackie) Strawn of Lorain and Traci (Robert) Strawn of Berea; and one sister, Ruth A. Blauveit of Elyria.

He was preceded in death by a step daughter, Teri Strawn in 2011; one daughter, Laura; a son, Larry; three brothers, Walter and Elmer, Jr. Neiding, and William Wilson, Sr.; and his parents, Arthur and Ethel (nee Reisinger) Wilson.

A private family service will be held on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at Resthaven Memory Gardens in Avon, Ohio with the Reverend Chuck Behrens officiating.

Memorial contributions are requested to Mercy New Life Hospice, 3500 Kolbe Road, Lorain, Ohio. The Reichlin Roberts Funeral Home, 327 Cleveland Street, Elyria, Ohio is assisting the family with the arrangements.
