Betty GrohElizabeth "Betty" Groh (nee Popovits) of Elyria, Ohio passed away at Ames Family Hospice in Westlake, Ohio on Wednesday, December 19, 2018.

Betty was born in Elyria, Ohio on October 9, 1931 and lived in Elyria all of her life. She was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church and was the Director of Religious Education for the church for over 30 years. She was also employed as a secretary for Koch Chrystal Finishing.

Surviving her are three daughters, Debbie, Sister Sean, S.N.D. for Chardon, Ohio, Denise (John) Hazelrigg of Madison, Ohio, Amy (Cliff) Coleman of Painesville, Ohio, and one son, John Groh of Elyria, Ohio. She is also survived by four grandchildren; Megan Coleman, Katie (Drew) Nicholson, and Thomas and Joseph Coleman.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Martin T. Groh in 1993; two brothers, John and Julius Popovits; and her parents, Peter and Agnes Popovits.

Friends will be received at the Reichlin Roberts Funeral Home, 327 Cleveland Street, Elyria, Ohio on Friday, December 21, 2018 from 4:00 until 7:00 P.M. Closing prayers will be in the funeral home on Saturday, December 22, 2019 at 11:30 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 noon at St. Jude Church, 590 Poplar Street, Elyria, Ohio. The Reverend Father Jerome Lejack, a family friend, will be the Celebrant and the Mass will be Concelebrated by the Reverend Father Frank P. Kosem, Pastor of St. Jude Church, the Reverend Father Andrew Hoover and the Reverend Father Robert Franco both of St. Peter's Church, North Ridgeville. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Elyria, Ohio.

To the Groh Family especially Amy, Meghan, Katie, Thomas, Joseph, Sister Debbie and the rest of the Groh Family.My deepest sympathy and condolences for your loss. May you find comfort in kbiwing she is resting in peace and love in God's presence.
